Meet the Maker

 

 

Hi, I'm Maruja—the founder and designer behind Mannaz Designs.

I'm originally from Venezuela, married to Jason, and a proud mother of two—Victoria and Alexander. I come from a family of entrepreneurs—both of my parents built successful businesses, and they inspired me to create something of my own. Family has always been at the center of everything I do.

I started this brand in September 2017 in Tampa Bay, during a pivotal moment in my life. I was two years into my personal recovery, rebuilding myself with more clarity and intention. I had just left my corporate job because I knew I wanted something different—flexibility to be present with my family, freedom to create, and a business that felt like mine.

At the same time, I was searching for cool, symbolic jewelry—talismans and pieces with meaning—but I couldn't find what I was looking for. So I started making my own.

What began as a calming, creative outlet (inspired by yoga, meditation, and my own healing) became something deeper. People started asking about the pieces. They wanted to buy them. And I realized: maybe this is my calling.

Today, I design bold, symbolic jewelry for women who are becoming—women who want pieces that reflect their individuality, their personality, and their story.

When I'm not designing, you'll find me in my Tampa studio experimenting with new techniques, spending time with my family, or layering way too many necklaces because, well—more is more.
